Sand Lake, Cass County (ID 11-0279-00)

Sand Lake is located in northern Cass County, 8 miles from the Hackensack. The lake is 134 acres in size and reaches a maximum depth of 54 feet. The lake includes 53 acres of littoral zone, approximately 40% of the lake's total area. All of the shoreline around the lake is privately owned and subject to development. There were 12 lake homes on Sand Lake in 1977. By 1999, the number of lake homes had increased to 27.

Sand Lake supports populations of walleye, northern pike, crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill and pumpkinseed sunfish.
