Rice Lake, Stearns County (ID 73-0196-00)

Rice Lake is located in south central Stearns County, next the city of Paynesville. The lake is 1,639 acres in size and reaches a maximum depth of 41 feet. The lake includes 958 acres of littoral zone, approximately 60% of the lake's total area.

Rice Lake supports populations of walleye, northern pike, crappie, smallmouth bass, bluegill and pumpkinseed sunfish. The lake is stocked with walleye and northern pike. A fish consumption advisory is in effect for Rice Lake and should be consulted before eating any fish from the lake.
